| The business was started in 1868 (the 1st year of Meiji period), and this shop on the Taishakuten tempe street was started in 1926 (the 1st year of Showa period). We are the only candy shop on the temple street. Recommended products are "sekitome ame" (cough candy), "anko ame" (sweetbean paste candy) and "kinako ame" (soybean flour candy). On Sunday and national holidays, "amekiri ondou" (candy cutting tuned to folk music) is performed. That is one of the Environment Agency-designated "best 100 scenes with sound." |
