Sushi is one of the representative cuisine of Japan that enjoying raw
and fresh fish or seafood. Slices of raw, fresh fish, seafood, vegetables,
etc. are arranged on beds of rice mixed with vinegar to which sugar,
salt, and other seasonings have been added. Sushi made with small,
oval-shaped rice balls is called Nigiri-zushi. Other types of Sushi are
Chirashi-zushi, Maki-zushi, etc. There are some areas that will make
Chirashi-zushi or Maki-zushi upon festivals or during the New Year
holidays.
